Last night I started to create a segment pack for the community

Does anyone have any advice? ... What do you want to see in the segment pack?

forgive my english

p.s.

texture mapping is temporary

The software I use? ... Autocad, sketchup, Spazio3D, pconplanner, Kerkythea, wing3d, paint.net.

Man.. that would be a definitely awesome, probably the best free thing made

I'm totaly impatient to have "blob rooms" on FPSCR so this pack can really help !

You have already thought at many features i think there is all we need here

Maybe just think about what will be good to do for this to be easy to use.
What about the roof ?
My great fear is that when you make a mistake on click you will select the whole segement instead of a entity to place on the scene..

Adjust your models so we can easy place them correctly with "B" key on the largest grid placement so we can build fast !

forgive my english too.. (french)

respectful greetings

A suite will be made on FPSCR

thanks
The models have already been designed to work with the snap "B".
In a few days I'll add the stairs and upper floors and even the roof.

greetings

Actually what AuShadow says is a great idea.

I could actually give you your own construction page on Reloaded files and a paypal donation button directly to your account..

When the time comes I will put a demo page together for you to look at

There will be hundreds of ideas that will take you forever....

It might be an idea to release a starter pack first and see how that goes......... Then expand on that if its popular ( which im sure it will be )

Its worth testing the water first ( as the saying goes ) before putting hundreds of hours into extras

Plus you could be making money whilst your building the the expansion packs ..

Just an idea

damn ... damn .... damn and damn again.

After drawing 60 segment, do a test in fpscr and I realize that you can not place items on top of each other .... can not believe it. The engine does not recognize the side walls and places the segment at ground level .... no comment. If you place an item on top of another and hit enter, it is placed at ground level. Damn

I fear it is too early to share the free segment pack

developers should also enter a function snap in height

Ahh !! I thought you may have overcame that problem

This is why I stopped my construction kit a few months back because of this issue....... BUT ITS NOT IMPOSSIBLE.......There are 2 ways

All these pics of my test kit are using.... "page up/down" ......in "F9 Mode" to place the upper floors but its fiddley..... EXCEPT THE LAST ONE ON THE END..... This segment I created at that height so basically its always that high.....

But it seemed I would have to make for example.. ( Floor corner bottom......then....floor corner second level...then......floor corner third level.... )

It would have been duplicating so many segments at different heights I figured it would be to confusing so I scrapped the idea...

I thought maybe you had found another way around it

So.... if you duplicated every segment in your model program at a second level and third level Height for instance ... it will work flawlessly... but that's 3 lots of 60 segments ..

this IS looking AWESOME and I hope it is not to be scrapped or left unfinished a lot very good looking work so far, and I love building stuff like this in games ect so please don't get disheartened ..
look forwards to seeing more (oh and page up and down is not so bad for the height, ) but yeah it is a pain when the snap to height is not working.

@bisella how about something unfamilla pointed out, export 2nd level models at the height you want them as then when you pit into the editor it will think the bottom of the model is a whole floor level below where it actually is if the makes sense

I thought of putting the invisible ceiling , but fpscr does not properly support the alpha channel.
The only solution is to put a ceiling for each segment and segments to make more height levels .

That does work as I demonstrated in the pics above but it means loads and loads of multiple segments....
I think Bisella is thinking now in terms of a three level kit as a starter which will still be awesome

Yes synchromesh ...is right.
I'm creating the kit, consisting of segments of 1-2-3 height levels
In addition, I am also creating a series of segment "basement", to raise the ground floor....Also segments with balcony see the jpg file

I hope you like it

Free segment pack - Incoming October 30, 2014

Segment pack almost finished.

Many entities, you can build huge buildings.

Texure 2048x2048 complete with normal and specular map.

The normal map was created a texture at a time, because each material has a different effect. For example, the bricks do not have the same ripples of the tiles. The positioning is done using the snap B. So in a few minutes you can create a building. I sincerely hope that Lee add the snap in height.
