I have been wanting to arrange a meet up for a long time and have only just thought about posting it on the forums.

I live in Preston, Lancashire (UK) and I would love to meet up with some like minded developers for a chat and a beer.

I can imagine the majority of you suffer the same fate as myself; none of your friends understand or even care about what you do with development. Yeah, they think its cool that you make games, but, you can't talk to them about it. Most of it will go over their heads or they just won't listen.

I am proposing that the developers that live close by should have a central meeting point that we can all attend and have a chat about ideas, future projects, potential collaborations etc.

I understand that some of you might not be old enough for a beer, why not come along for a coffee?

I do hope that others are interested in doing this as I love this community and I think it would be great to put some faces to names.

Oh, someone has answered the thread! haha.

I am planning on moving to Australia in the not too distant future. There is nothing for me in this country. Plus, I hate the weather here.

I have a few friends that moved last year and they have both said that they would NEVER move back to the UK. Yeah, they miss everyone, but, their lifestyle now is 100% better.

Looking forward to it. Just need to find a job there first and sort out living arrangements, then, my wife, kids and I, are good to go!

Essex here wot. cant drive though im afraid to say don't drink beers either lol but i did start up a voice chat channel for reloaded users that had microphones ect.. probably closest i could get to actually meeting people lmao..

me and tattie had a good chat the other week on there, maybe others would meet up on there over weekends for talks n such im sure pictures could be organised for it or here if wanted?..

i think i need to be online in the group to add you as member if people decided to join it. other than that if people wanted to meet and such on there its active 24/7 so just organise meeting days n such and have at it all are welcome to use it its free and small download.
