Developer: Dimoxinil

I\'ll expand the description with time.

Storyline: You\'re one of the few survivors of a zombie pandemic.

Description: This game could be described as a cross between \"Build-a-lot\" and \"DayZ\"

An example of gameplay:

the weapons you find are always in basic mode. In order to improve the weapons you\'ll have to create an armory.

But to create the armory you need money, materials ...

but if you go into your camp you can get their new weapons.

the game is in a very early stage of development. My goal is to get \"steam greenlight\" and then \"early access\". I know that is a real challenge but... I must try

I\'m also finishing my other game created with Fps classic \"nyctophobia\"

I don't think this style is risky; it plays intelligently around the limitations of an indy developer while providing something contextually new for a player to process.

It's part of the reason games in this genre do succeed is by not trying to be an imitation of a AAA title with a forty million dollar budget. Looks absolutely great, smartly done.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I've made games for wii, ps3, pc.. , I've worked with unreal, unity, ... I had to return home for personal reasons. (Damn disease). After careful consideration and much thought . I arrived at the same conclusion that you have exposed, is good to know that some people think similarly to you. Thanks dude.

Dimoxinil,

Am I correct in assuming that you are one of the guys from Moonbite? I was following Zombeer for a LONG time and when no PC release was ever announced, I was very upset.

This game style looks fantastic, its exactly the sort of game that I wanted to create a while ago. I love that you choose a style and stick to it.

Great work.

Looking forward to seeing more on this game.

Cheers

Jay.

Great new screenshots. I really do love this art style!

Every time I see this game, I want to copy it! haha. That's how good it is!

Looking forward to seeing more.

Oh, how are you finding getting weapons into Reloaded? What sort of process are you following? I only ask as I have a weapon that I would like to get working, but, I don't know where to start.

Cheers

Hi unfamillia.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, and dont worry, I had every intention that my games are very cheap (3 or 5$)

About weapons.

If you already have created a weapon, I personally would recommend you (as a start) open one that brings with reloaded (hud.x), and try replace with your weapon. You'll learn many things. There are a bones called FIRESPOT and SMOKE that Should be in your skeleton gun, these are necessary for the muzzle flash and smoke particles.

Hey dimoxinil! This looks brilliant. The art style approach is ideal for the Oculus yet still seems perfect for normal gameplay.

Do you know when there will be a demo released? My Oculus DK2 arrived yesterday so I would love to test this.

Hi, Dudes! Thank you for your kind words

Landman, I think the demo is ready in couple of months. you could access it before to test with your Oculus DK2. (if you fancy)

Mriganka, this week I'll post a new set of Nyctophobia images. I am considering to move Nyctophobial to Reloaded.

I think this way I will be easier to publish it on steam. Possibly starting to upload a video in the next few weeks. I hope you like it?

see you.

I will definitely be following this one. Your style seems very unique and I don't think I've seen anything quite like it out there. You have a good sense of color scheme too. I just love it, I could see something like this becoming very popular in the Steam community.

Wow man just wow. The game looks great, however its an oddly happy looking game for a grim Apocalypse

If you do plan to sell it, you might want to sell it as kind of an addon thing, such as more weapons etc as a dlc then release the base game for 0. I know this might not seem like the best way to do it, however its easier to create a community for future games to market to and may in the long run, if the base game is fun get you more money.

The simple reason I suggest this is because people are going to look at your game and ask why should I buy this when I can just play Unturned for free?

Hi, Dudes!

Teabone, thanks for your words of encouragement and follow the game. I hope the game has a little bit of repercussion in the Steam community.

I am aware that this is very difficult, but it's nice to see that someone sees possibilities to your game.

mfgcasa, thanks for your words of encouragement. Next week I'll start to work the gore part of the game, think will make a good contrast to the happy atmosphere. Thanks for your contributions on the possibilities distribution of the game, I am not sure how to do this and all tips are helpful.

Can I ask, how did you go about texturing all the entities? Was there some sort of method you had to retexturing them that saved you a ton of time? Or do you have a team helping you out?

Looks amazing though!! If you ever need any help with sound effects, I have an LS100 stereo sound recorder and am happy to help!

Hi Susysyay, Thank you for your kind words .

A couple of people are helping me a lot to design the gameplay, but the rest of the game, I'm doing this alone.

The textures in this game are very easy to do. They are composed just for color map + occlusion map. I don't use normal maps in this game

Olympus LS-100 is a very good sound recorder (records like no other.). Any help will be welcome, but my budget for the game is extremely limited (0$)

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you the enemies in the game the bots.

a couple of examples:

These robots are the basic assault troops. You'll need a modified weapon to fight them and a lv 3 or higher

landmines, if you approach them explode. You have to be careful, they tend to jump when you're around.

I wish you a good weekend.

I absolutely love the new NPC. He looks fantastic!

I'm not sure if I have said this before, but, I LOVE the art style of this game.

Are you baking the AO into the texture? If so, are you finding issues with animated models?

The landmine looks cool as well. Am I correct in assuming that it is also animated and will move towards the player when in proximity?

Cheers

Hi Jay,

Thanks to you for following the game development.

I have to tweak a little AO layer in the animated models to avoid black artifacts.

Yes, The mines jump ( animation) by the player proximity, accompanied by one characteristic sound. A robotic laughter.

Dimoxinil,

I came to realise the issue with pre-baked AO when I tried to animate one of my models. As soon as it moved, there was obviously a shadow there, that shouldn't have been there! haha. I just fixed the diffuse for the areas that would be exposed when animating.

I like the sound of the mines! They sound quite sadistic! Laughing before they try to kill you! nice touch.

Cheers

Jay.

Haha. Thanks. I just wanted to try out a new signature. I wanted to see if I could have a few different images that all contained their own links. Turns out, it works pretty well.

Great new screenshot! I want to play this so bad! I know I keep saying it and it's probably getting annoying, but, I LOVE this art style!

I am curious; how many people are on your team? Or is all this just you? If it is just you, I want to join you. You can't say no. I am now a fully fledged member of your team. What do you command of me, oh master?

Hi Jay, It's very gratifying to see that your game likes to the people and more in a risky project like this. Thank you very much. Please Jay continue with the same enthusiasm

At this early stage of the game, I like work alone. This project is a very personal one for me. If you are interested in participating , you can take part in a development play & feedback, share your feedback, contribute your thoughts (you can have early access to gamplay, demos, etc). If everything goes well you could participate more actively in the game.

Hi mfgcasa, thanks for the words of encouragement. Refuge places was initially planned, you can rescue people and bring them to your town. I'm looking for ways to fit well.

Dimoxinil, I will always be enthusiastic about this game. It stands out from the rest of the games I have seen, not just on these forums, but, on other indie sites, like IndieDB, GameJolt and the rest.

I would be honoured to play test your game and would act like an excited little boy at Christmas, if I would have early access!

Judging from your screenshots and regular updates, it looks as though you have everything under control development wise. However, if you ever need any help with anything, please feel free to email me. I will be ready and waiting!

Cheers

Jay.

Hi Jay, Thank you very much for your words and your offer. If the game continues at this rate, I going to need help to prepare the Steam early access (modeling, level design, sound, music, etc). It first has to pass Steam Greenlight and that will not be easy. You are the first on the list.

Hi Slaur3n, thanks for the words of encouragement. A very cool image, and a well designed logo . I have liked a lot.

In the picture we see a enemy teleportation portal. The player will use to move between the different levels of the game.

I hope you have a nice weekend
