as some of you may have heard a alienware console is being release this fall.I think reload should get in on this action. this will probably be the closes fpsc can get to being on a console. if our games can show up on steam would give this game engine some eyes to look at.

what do you all think about your game being on steam?

will tgc ever add the xbox controller plugin to reload?

what do you all think about alienware console?

Well as the console runs Windows 8.1 it is very easy to get FPSCR working on it. You can already add any game you make to steam via the greenlight system. FPSCR will have steam support in future anyway so I can't see any reason why this wouldn't work.

Not sure how well it will run as FPSCR has a lot of performance work to go but if you get one of these consoles you can test it

um this is a windows 8 PC, it's not a "console", it's a media center/gaming PC, so there is nothing special about it, it is basically micro ATX PC, with a custom GUI.I Know review website raving about this being a console but it's not.

It should also noted I am pretty sure Steam OS will be backward compatible with windows based games as it will likely be running some thing similar to VM any ways, As for controller support that is a given, however that isn't a priority right now, nothing worse than playing an FPS game with a controller, 3rd person yes fine, more often FPS controls are so lame and stupid.

So basically for the eventual reloaded steam release I can relatively say with confidence TGC has nothing "extra" to do compatibility wise, at least for games, however you will not likely be creating games with a controller either, the amount of work that will be needed to do this for a even smaller user base, isn't worth it in the long run.
