I'm getting ready to release a new version of my Omega Core plugin that now includes a 3D positional sound system. I am looking for a nice 3D animated helicopter to use in a stand-alone tech demo. Does anyone have such a model they'd be willing to donate? I think I have an old Dark Matter one, but not sure it will work in Reloaded. If I can't get that to work then I'll definitely need something. The animation just need to be the blades spinning.

I think Cosmic Prophet did a pack with a helicopter in it as well.



I made a quick and very basic Black Hawk which you can see in the end of this video, I may be able to work on it some more if it helps.

Looks promising. Where's the video link for the Black Hawk? I can't seem to find it.

Looks great. I'd love to use that in the tech demo if you'll let me. I've got some amazing surprises in store for it.

When would you need it by? It still needs a bit of work.

I also had the side door working as well, as I was trying to stay in it as it took off but I kept falling through the model.

I will be releasing my 3D sound support in Omega Core probably tomorrow or Saturday. I want to have a tech demo shortly after that. So, probably this weekend. It doesn't have to be perfect. I won't need the door part. Although it would be cool if there was a dummy pilot in it.

I've cleaned the model up a bit more and added a better texture. This model only has 530 polys so it's very basic.



All the blades are animated (didn't worry about the door on this one) and the speed can be changed in the FPE if needed. I didn't add a pilot as I wouldn't have time to do this as you need a quick turn around.



All you will need is a helicopter sound effect.

Yes, it turned out really nice. I've tried it out in the engine with a nice helicopter sound and so far so good. After I release my new version of Omega Core, I'll work out my little tech demo using this as the show piece. If all goes as planned, it's going to be quite exciting to play.
