Hi AuShadow - I did your performance test. My computer is getting a bit old - an i3 3.1Ghz chip, 4GB RAM and a 550gtx graphics card. There was little difference between lowest and medium settings (averaging around 21fps), dropping to around 18fps on the highest settings. There was also a drop of 3-5 fps when dealing with the bad guys.

I ran your game link on high and set the texturedivide size to 0 in the setup.ini file.
It ran pretty good for me with out stuttering.

Seems I can not see frame rate in build games anymore so not sure how fast it was running. Only noticeable slow down is with the weapons for me and getting swamped by more then one enemy.

My machine specs are in my sig below.

Nice Easter egg hunt for weapon and ammo and placement of enemy. Great layout so far. I just got into the other city and the rpg guy blew me to bits. Rethinking my approach.

Textures look good, but am I seeing the mortar in the brick normal in the wrong direction? It is hard to determine with lighting the way it is now in the engine. All textures seem a bit to shiny for building material things like concrete and brick. Might back the specular brightness back in the _S textures 10 to 15 % darker for brick and concrete stuff.

Will get back to you.

I will test it again later on the other graphic setting and see what the differences are.

Hey AuShadow I did run your Performance test to, my results are :

On all Settings there a frame drops of 5 -7 frames when bad guys appear, mostly with rocketman. My Ingame Resolution is 2560x1440.

High: General frames are at the level start 22 fps, framedrops to 16 on bad guys, average 23-28 frames, and when all enemies are dead the highest frames that i ever got 33.

Medium: General frames are at the level start 24 fps, framedrops to 18 on bad guys, average 25-30 frames, and when all enemies are dead the highest frames that i ever got 35.

Lowest: General frames are at the level start 29 fps, framedrops to 22 on bad guys, average 35-37 frames, and when all enemies are dead the highest frames that i ever got 47.

I hope that helped. by the way im new to the forums.

System Specs: OS - Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1, CPU - AMD FX-8150 Zambezi @ 4.0Ghz, RAM - 8Gb Dual channel DDR3 @ 805Mhz, GFX Card - 2048MB Sapphire Radeon R7 265 Dual-X -GPU Clock @ 1050 Mhz

I just tried your level, AuShadow, and I gotta say first off I enjoyed it! Like Myke said the hunt for ammo and weapons was well done, enemy placement was good, and RPG guy got me the first time, but then I was able to ambush him on my 2nd try. That is actually a plus for the AI system, in my opinion. All around a good-looking and fun level. I ran it at the settings it downloaded with and got 33-40 fps. Smooth playing. Question for you: Is the tab supposed to work in a stand-alone at this time to adjust the visuals or are we supposed to tweak them in the visuals.ini/setup.ini? And what parameters constitute High/Medium/Low?

Thanks!

Don

I'm glad everyone enjoyed this since I have updated some area's and stuff and added more to the stress test , thanks to all that replied it seems that on average it is still at a playable level I can't remember what fps I was getting but it was better in the standalone to the test level in editor.

@jerry the high medium low is graphics setting set from the in game pause menu (accessed when hitting ESC during game),

And I forgot to mention the win zone is the city square in the second area, and I use the sniper rifle on the second rocket guy and it sounds like people found the sniper rifle , I'm glad to hear people found a way onto the roof area, a few extra shotgun shells on top of the sea containers too for those who didn't know , won't GI e away everything g but as I will expand this stress test heaps, have started expanding the asylum area ALOT and will hopefully by months end have a newer more stressful version to see if it stays playable

Oh, BTW I use fraps to see my in game frame rate on games

quick play through and i average high 30's on highest without changing any setup.ini file entries and low 30's in combat on the standalone so not too bad , stay tuned for ULTRA stress test (when the missus gives me time to make it )
