Let me know when you improve the editor. I've been struggling with since November and I don't see anything you've done to make it easier to use. No undo; keystrokes to manipulate entities; it's difficult to select particular entities; can't select multiple entities; importing custom entities is still tedious; no entity manager.

Are we ever going to see improvements to the editor?

Multiple entities.... no not yet ...

Importing models... No problems in fact easy compared to other engines ?

Loads being worked on...Importers, Conkit ... Getting there soon

We will be adding new editor features during the next few builds, all these things take time, but we do understand how vital many users feel editor improvements are.

@nelsonaddison : If you had only ONE feature update in V1.009, what would it be?

Single Stage Undo
Widget to Position, Scale and Rotate Entities
Minimum Range For Entity Selection (small/thin entities)
Range Select For Multiple Entity Selection/Move

If you had asked myself, Id say importing custom entities and a single stage undo. I mess up alot but Id also try to squeeze in a lock position option so that when you need to move something that is at a certain height, you dont have to raise it again. Then when you want to add another, you can just grab the first one, set it again with out moving the mouse and then move it to the new position. If that makes any sense?

I am a very blunt person. I have NO filters in communication. I say exactly what I think and feel. If you think im being abrasive, its probably a personal problem because usually, Im not. While we're waiting for Nelson to ponder this, I'd like to suggest "Widget to Position, Scale and Rotate Entities". In my experience with entity placement, this would almost (but not totally) eliminate the need for an undo or either of the entity range selections, since placement would be correct first time around.

"One Feature for 1.009"

For me I have to say 3 features are important for the editor

My largest problem has to do with the ability to re-select an object once it has been placed on the terrain, if that object happens to be above a larg

I've been complaining on about lack of a lock position feature for ages

Personally I think I'm used to having no undo, and don't particularly need it, whereas I still maintain a lock position is a must.

An easier way to select entities would be nice. Like inside some other tree menu. I often get lost in a crowd of entities trying to get into the properties or move them.

However an undo feature would be even better in terms of priority requests.

Now how did I know I would not get just one suggestion I hear you guys, and it's coming! For now you can use the RETURN key in the editor to lock all large objects such as buildings so you can manipulate small objects. You may also be pleased to learn that the internal team also pushed for a single stage undo so I am working on that now, and will be part of V1.009. Currently does terrain sculpt and paint undo, working on entity addition and deletion. Moving is tricker as it involves a scene delete, then an addition, however as suggested the new widget will skip the need to extract and insert entities during editing, and THIS I CAN apply an undo recording to. All things come to those.........who wait

I have used an extra 4MB for the terrain height field buffer and 4MB for the spare texture memblock for the terrain painting. Regrettable as we want to be reducing, not increasing memory usage but it's the cost of this type of undo. I also want to avoid dynamic memory allocation as this is one sure way to increase the fragmentation effect and it is technically possible the user can modify the WHOLE terrain with a single click without letting go!

The Widget to position, move and scale entities. Combine that with an undo -- just a single undo level -- and the editor becomes much more usable.

This is the thinking behind V1.009. A little bit of game stuff, a little bit of editor stuff, plenty of testing and then in your hands

Do you know how you see entity via right clic? so this's the view I would get, when I'm placing, ,positioning entities.

Aside ignore if is it done, even if is it posible, but resize entities within editor would be a great feature.

When I buy your product, I'm not only investing in what you have now, but also in what you will have tomorrow.
Evolution is the key.

Anyway, great job until now.
