Hi Guys and Gals,



I am looking for a few gnarly zombie sound effects for the forthcoming pack. We have a sound for background moaning (zombie_groan.wav) and attack sound (zombie_melee.wav), but we don't have any female zombies sounds and Rick also suggests we need more male zombie sounds too. He suggested that the community can produce these sounds for us, and we would reward the creator who produces ones we can use with 4000 points for the store. So consider the gauntlet thrown down, and you can send your WAV submissions in the format (PCM 44.100 kHz, 16 Bit, Mono) to lee@thegamecreators.com. All sounds sent must be your own work so that we can buy all rights to them from you in exchange for the points. The best of luck!!

I've posted some zombie sounds there.. Do you want me to email them to you, or can you get them from that post? I can always make some more if you like... Though not sure I can do the female zombie sounds... will have to ask around some girls to see if that's possible...

how many sounds are you looking for? any particular numbers or specific interests for the zombie sounds?

If you can email them directly to me at lee@thegamecreators.com I can check them out and if I like them have you send me a small email to transfer the I.P over to TGC so we can use them for the next few decades. We are looking for WAV sounds of Zombie moans and groans, much like they would make if they are standing about mumbling to themselves, or when they see something of mild interest, or when they are startled and become angry. Long 20-30 second WAVs are also welcome as that gives a nice background gurgle to the scenes. I could also use a few 'melee hit sounds' which are triggered when the Zombie actually strikes the player, as currently I am using the same 'clonk' sound and having a few different sounds here would create a much more visceral experience when you are being surrounded by Zombie cops, Zombie businessmen and Zombie clowns (the scariest of them all).

Had an amazing response on my request for zombie sounds, seems like we have some Zombie stars out there! Currently have 13MB of sound effects for your Zombie creations, though some specifically female Zombie sounds would be welcome (whatever a female Zombie actually sounds like). You are entirely welcome to break out a classic Zombie film and find out this weekend!!

Well I tried female zombie sounds with my voice... but I think I failed miserably because Lee said they sound like "Baby" zombie sounds. haha that made me chuckle!

Be nice to have a randomizer for when sounds are called for attacks. So we can have a variation of at least 3 to 4 sounds.

My ex at times sounded like a zombie but we're not on speaking terms right now so that's out of the question. Sorry, wish I could help.

No need for any more female Zombie sounds thanks all. The last batch has been added and when placing a few zombies down the combined moaning and groaning is quite effective at scaring the pants off you. I also sped them up and made them more vicious when attacking, so you should have a fight on your hands when the pack gets released!
