Hi

searched forums but cannot find any answers.

I have made a simple wall model that appears in FSPC Reloaded OK. However all is well until the user approaches too closely. The model then disappears. interestingly it only disappears in certain directions but can be seen at the same distance in other directions.

Any ideas folks.

Cheers

This usually happens to an entity that has a scale factor larger then the one exported from out of the model program. If this is the case then try it at the scale it was made at (scale=100 in fpe file) and see if the disappearing stops.

Hi Myke and thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately it didn't work but a strange thing did. I decided to make a movie of the problem using Fraps and the problem had gone away. I could enter and walk around in the building with no loss of model. However when I unloaded Fraps the problem returned.

Interesting but also a pain. Anyone any other ideas.

You can email me the assets to the email address below in the button, and I will look at them for you.

Also what model program are you using?

Not exactly the same model error as you ...mine were walking to fast ...But !! When i used Fraps like you the models were fine...
So i loaded it up without fraps and filmed it with my mobile phone pointing at the screen....Then uploaded that to show the problem ..

Thanks for getting back and sorry for late reply as I am on the road a lot. Problem solved but not sure how. Upgraded graphics card and at the same time noticed my meshed were not grouped, go grouped them. All OK now so it is one of them, I personally think it is the ungrouped meshes. Pirate mate I use Sketchup, 3d Crafter and Blender for most of my modelling according to what I am doing. I use PSP X6 and Gimp for most graphics work.

Synchromesh check to see if your meshes are grouped.

Cheers all.
