Can anyone fill me in on the proper procedure for using the attachment feature in a post. I suspect my approach is not correct.

When other users have included a attachment there appears a thumbnail of the attachment. When I try this feature my post only shows a white thumbnail and when I click the attachment I get the question " Do you want to save, view or close". When I respond with view the attachment picture is displayed, but there seems to be no way to return to the forum.

I use Browse to select the photo and then select Upload file is this the proper way...

This happens when you upload a file format that is not detected by our system it is standard practice for the browser to download files it doesn't recognise.

What format are you trying?

@ The Next

Using a BMP file created using f10 in reloaded. I guess a BMP format is not supported - right?

I will try a JPG format next time.

Thanks for the info.

Question - is there some reason reloaded can't be changed so that the f10 capture

The reason we don't accept BMP is it produces huge files that are not compressed like PNG and JPG are this is not very good for web viewing. At some point the engine will probably produce JPG files instead.

The web system will not support display of BMP files though.
