I'm just curious, is the Oculus Rift still supported? I dusted off mine this afternoon just to see if it would work (haven't been able to get it to work for the last couple betas). Is there more to it now than just changing Riftmode to 1?

Also, just in case Lee reads this, will the PrioVR also be supported? You sold me on backing the kickstarter, and I can't wait to get it!

Hi,

Oculus Rift support has been suspended, but should see it's way back in soon. Priorites went to performance and AI.

We don't currently have plans to support any other external hardware at the moment, but you never know what the future will hold .

Will we have DK2 support at any stage of development?

I'm going to be all over Oculus Rift when it comes out, I've been dreaming of VR gaming for donkey's years. Going to have to upgrade my PC first though.

Is there a specific point in time when DK2 will be implemented? I see there is a DarkBasic plugin that enables DK2 support for apps written in DarkBasic Pro. According to the forum thread it does quite a decent job, could this not be looked into to allow quicker implementation of the DK2 for FPSCR?

They already have an implementation for the OR for Reloaded. It worked in at least one of the betas, (2nd or third, if I recall correctly). Then they pulled it, to focus on, of course, performance. Per Lee (a few days ago):

Quote: "@Jerry Tremble : We had to make some HARD choices for the product, and one of them was to suspend any work on Rift/DK2/Gear until we have a solid dependable core engine. I think it's the right approach as it benefits the many. Definately coming back in 2015, VR is SO cool!!"

I've played with that DBPro plugin for the rift. It works pretty good! (Unless there's another one I'm not aware of)
