Hi The Next,

I know its early days, but the Mobile forum needs serious work, theres a lot of wasted space. When I check in on iPod/Phone the screen is fairly small so it needs a lot less info, in the current format only 1 post or less actually fits on the screen at a time.

Here's a typical thread Screenshot (iPod 4): EDIT: Put into one image to use less space:

As mobile devices are more likely to be used for quick checking in we don't need a lot of this info.

**Attachments can be hidden, don't know about android, but iOS isn't going to do anything with them.

**Badges Can be Hidden, again - lots of space (Maybe keep the mod ones)

**Location/Playing/Joined info could be hidden saving a few lines, probably not essential.

**Facebook Link button can be removed - it redirects to facebook in browser, and I suspect everyone will have the app.

**Signatures could be hidden

**Images should be sized to fit.

**The Options button should go away when you scroll down the thread, not be there always. Not sure how this is done, but some sites do it. Its taking 1/7th of the screen.

**Options that appear need to be scrollable, currently scrolls the page behind it which is useless.

**Maybe remove the Options button in landscape mode, or at least reduce it. Also, this has the scrolling issue.

**Reduce the size of the options button in Landscape, its a third of my screen!

**Align the report buttons etc.

Personally I'd have a plain background colour, frequently get a graph paper effect when the page reloads, no idea why.

General Forum Feedback:

Remove the profile button, have forum names clickable to the profile.

Move PM Etc., to the section of the page which shows the user, and put the edit button on the post, it would make a lot more sense!

Don't know why those are so massive

Here's a 'mobile design' vs current:

It means you could get 2 posts per page - now if only that menu button had auto-hide. Perhaps auto-hide 1 to 2 seconds after scrolling leaving the full screen to read?

Possibly reduce the profile buttons to links so a little less crowded.

I know its all hard work, but hopefully my feedback will be helpful

Can't see much wrong on the iPad, its just cramped-screen devices.

I thought that would probably be the case,
I don't know what resolutions you have personally to test with but I have both the iPod Touch 4 and 5 (same screen res as iPhone 4,4s,5,5s,5c I believe) so if you don't have those resolutions I'm happy to provide you feedback on those as you update

Regards,
S

Yeah, I can add:
iPad 2,
iPod 5,
1440 x 900 (Desktop)
1360 x 768 (Samsung Series 9)
Next year I can test 4k for you But I'm holding off buying that...haha prices have gone from £500 to £450 in a month, so they may go lower yet
