Introducing: Classic Community Packs for Reloaded

Here are the FPSC Classic community packs reloaded ready, as I convert them.

Packs:

+SciFi

+Steampunk

+Modern Warfare

Information:

These are the community packs created by members in the old forums originally FPSC X9.

Quote: "All the media from the community packs is free for any use. That is the main theme of the community packs, all media is totally free with no restriction of use. A gift from the media makers to the community. "

Removed:

Segments

Meshbank

Broken Entities and Decals

Not Converted:

I cannot convert custom scripts. Thus animated objects may not animate, and characters will not move.

Characters and animated entities will behave as static/dynamic objects.

Download Links:

+SciFi TBC

+Steampunk Download from Mega

+Modern Warfare Download from Mega

Screenshots:

Modern Warfare:

More Screenshots coming soon

(Missing packs listed are TBC - To Be Converted)

As these are updated the links won't change, so unless Mega is taken down, these won't go down

Have a nice day

Modern Warfare pack now up. Some of the textures for some of the models seem to have issues (glass is black on some things, etc.) and some are just low res.

The SciFi pack has structural issues in its organisation of .x files and texture files, so that will take a few weeks for me to get around to doing. I'm going to write an addon to my converter software to re-organise required meshes from the obsolete meshbank into the places where they are required.

Let me know if you have issues with the two packs linked above

No problem

Let me know if you find any are broken, also I'd advise to make a backup of your map before using these, I think I've taken all the problem ones out, but any that are supposed to stick to segment walls in classic crashes your map if you right click them, so if any are left in don't place them! You can tell as they have a massive arrow shown through them. I think I got them all but one or two may have slipped through.
If you do find one, left click on a different entity in the sidebar without placing it, and let me know the entity name so I update the files online

Thanks for this mate, and to all who participated originally!

Duncan Edwards is the one person who, even today, I really felt inferior to. I've never known anybody so gifted and strong and powerful with the presence that he had - Sir Bobby Charlton

So I downloaded both packs. I just imported the Modern Warfare pack and the only thing I have to say is that it seems like the LUA scripts didn't come with it.. The Wire Traps and Land Mines don't have anything for me to call upon. The Land mines have a script but whenever I try to locate it I can't find it. I'm just wondering if the scripts are there, I'm just not looking the right place?

Hi,
Yeah sorry about that, as these were packs made for FPSC Classic the old scripts didn't function so I took them out, with the intention of shortly rolling out fixed scripts when I'd learn enough lua to be able to do that.

Sadly in between then and now my hard-drive decided to change itself into a metronome (it had the click of death).. and promptly ceased to function.
Returning me to square one, minus my Classic to Reloaded conversion software (which is buried on a second backup hard drive).

So in short, sorry the scripts are not currently in place, I will add them as soon as I've had chance to have a look at it and make some, or find substitutes!
I was in the middle of converting the Sci-Fi pack as well, which is long overdue.

Regards,
S

Thanks for these! By the way, how hard would it be to get the Steampunk Melee Saw and Steampunk Gun (with the three different ammo) working in Game Guru? These would be perfect for a game I'm working on.
