I think the search option need a "search in posts" option. Without it, it's kind of useless to try to find something you are looking for.
Not everything you are searching for is in the subject (thread) heading. You miss A LOT.

I was wondering about the search function here myself. In the original forums I never even bothered to register because I never needed to post a question! It has a google forum search function and it worked great (much better than the host engine). I've been in those forums since 2004 at least, yet never even registered 'til this past year or two. As forums grow, the answers to common (and uncommon) questions get buried under thousands of posts. What newbie (or not-so-newbie) is going to sift through thousands of posts before he feels comfortable asking a question without the fear of getting flamed?
