3rd Party Models/Media Chat / KWXport Error

I have been trying a few times to get KWXporter working and can only assume I am doing something wrong.

I have Max 2010 (64bit) but keep getting this error on loading Max



I have tried different versions of the exporter but cant get it working. what am I doing wrong

Have you downloaded the 64bit version of the kwxport as there is a 32bit version as well http://mjblosser.com/kw-x-port-for-3ds-max/



If you still have no luck talk to Bond1, he's been posting on here recently.

Just to absolutely sure, this is the version you are using correct?

It was my understanding that Max 2010 and 2011 were binary compatible and could use the same version of the plugin. If this is not the case then I can look into compiling for specifically the 2010 version. Before I do I want to make sure that this is not user error.

SPECS: Intel Corei7 3770k, Nvidia GTX780, 16GB RAM, Win7 Pro

Ok hang tight, I haven't forgotten, but it will probably be a week or so until I have time to do this.



I will need grab the trial of Max 2015 anyway to recompile for that version, so I'd rather do it all in one shot since it is a bit of a hassle to install Max, link up all the Visual Studio dependencies with the Max SDK and the DirectX SDK, then test everything.

Hi Frap, I've recompiled it for Max 2010, grab it from the kW X-Porter page.

Turns out I originally compiled this against Max 2011. Apparently plugins compiled for 2010 will work for 2011, but not the other way around.

Anyway, it has been tested and working.
