I got the idea for this post from BarZaTTacKS: "I wish we had an official board that we can post to, then we can upvote..."

Many bboard systems have a voting feature. If this is true of the FPSCR board too, we could just what BarZaTTacKS suggests. I would be willing to go through the four pages of Faeture-Creep and make a bullet-ized list of the requests; then submit this to the mods and they can put a votable list at the top of Feature-Creep board; and then we can all go and vote for the fatures we want.

Voting is something I wanted to add to the forums for a while, however as I am the one with the code for the forums and I also do all the other TGC web stuff I find myself pretty busy.

Like with the syntax highlighting and the faster posting/attachments if it is deemed important enough it gets done pretty quickly, other less important things get pushed down the list.

Just depends how much support this gets.

While I get your point cause you are busy what you want us to do is being hindered since we do not have this form of organization.



It is like a group of people begging to have an official forum to voice their concerns since they are finding it hard to team up and collaborate their efforts. This finally reaches the ear of an official and they say well you need to gather people together to see if they want this. This is one of those things where the people in charge need to think for themselves and say yes I think that is a good idea so the customers needs can be more apparent to us. This should not be something that we need to rally for, its common sense and I think you know that because even you wanted to do it.



This should be done first in my opinion, before updated scripting posts, before adding features to the store etc. We need to be able to properly hear the community before fixing things that the loudest have mentioned.

I would agree on a per-board basis, I don't like voting in general discussion, but in feature creep I see the point.

In general discussion it could end up a mess, because once you had a page with highly up voted stuff new threads with no votes ma not appear etc.

We do monitor feature creep and are listening to your ideas. The problem with voting, is that development takes time, and it's no good us jumping from one part of the engine to another on a whim. This could potentially lead to a lot of half finished features. We have a firm development plan based mainly on your ideas, and we are seeing it through. I can report some very exciting improvements for V1008, but you'll all have to wait and see .

So, that idea I had about the player ordering a pizza in game and having an actual pizza delivered during gameplay will have to wait, is what your saying...
