anyone know what Spawn(e) does or how it works?

i thought it would create another entity (based on (e)) at the location the script is run from but it seems not?

i basically ran -

Hide(1)

Spawn(2)

from entity 1's location but nothing appeared there, how would i know the "spawned" entity number also?

Spawn(e) I believe spawns the single entity that isn't automatically spawned when the map is loaded.

ah yes i completely forgot there's an option in the right click menu to turn off "spawn at start" - that is indeed what it does, not what i was hoping it would do but thanks

I tried using the don't spawn at start , but it always seems to spawn regardless. I've compromised by using hide/show.

really? i think it's only the stock enemies that have this issue because they still have hard coded scripts that over-ride it

Works just fine, it is probably the script

Try it without script to test.

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum...

It was stock enemies I was using Still, no closer to getting an enemy to drop something I may just forget it for now. The spawn option does work on normal objects by the looks. I was only working with characters.

i already made a loot script, they just don't have an actual item drop - just a prompt when you are close to the dead body
