I need help making animated doors work. I see the gate works on the sample level but I cant get my church door to work. Can anybody give me a step by step to make the door open when I hit enter or some other key? Maybe even using a collectable key would be nice. It just doesn\'t want to cooperate for me.

Hi,

I should like to help you but my English is not good;

By défault the Church door need a key. Put your animated door in place.



1/ Find the iron key in the collectables entity bank and pose it near the door to test it, (don't lost it, it is very small).Open his parameters panel by right_cklick on the object_key in a green bubble (not easy because the key is very small, note his name " key ". Close

2/ Open the door panel by right_cklick on the door,you can see many items.

3/ You have to ASSIGN what key open this door by writing the name of the key

in the menu "AI AUTOMATED>USE KEY ", so write key, save by the aplly button

4/Try it. Walking on the key collect it. Press E front the door.Thats all... to begin.

Note:To become a Pro.

You can use others small object as an object key by changing is behaviour file in his menu "AI SYSTEM>Main (click on the little browser on the right side of "xxx.lua" and select "key.lua".Apply.

So in the same way you can change a door which need key by an automatic door.

Have you seen that you have another animated door in the scenery entity "Crypt gate".
