First, I want to preface this by saying that this and many other features I see asked for on this forum shouldn't be considered feature creep, but should be basic core functionality and should be implemented very early on.



We really need the ability to know whether keys are being pressed or released and mouse events such as button down and button up. I can see these as callback handlers and/or entries in an array that can be checked at any time from any script.
