I've asked the question before and had not luck but I know you defiantly do it with LUA in v7 from reading Lee's blog.

Your level in the video looks bloody brilliant by the way !

Wait, is that water just the stock water from reloaded? How is it moving so fast? How is it moving at all? My water just sits there.

no m8 i don't it is just a seamless picture animated repeating its self but when 1.7 is out it will allow us to change the speed via LUA.

How do you do an animated texture in reloaded? I'm very interested in this sort of thing also, but didn't think it could be done right now.

Nope. That doesn't help me at all. I would need to know how to construct a proper .x file for reloaded, how to build it with animating textures, etc. I did see a post about building models in Blender, but it didn't talk about animation or texture animations either. I still have no clue.

lol nevermind I do not think you get it. He made a thread in February asking this and he got his answer.. so I was wondering why he asked again on your thread instead of telling you what he knew.

@BarZaTTacKS, then I'm confused. I thought you were the one who knew how to do this and that's why I asked. It's cool if you don't want to reveal it, but if you don't mind then I'd really like to know how to do it.

To better explain... me and you are probably in the same boat. I still do not know how to make an animation. When I saw the question here I went to research it cause I wanted to learn. I found a thread that Jerry Tremble asked this question, was responded to, and then he wrote that he understood it. Now I see him in this thread asking how to do it again so I was just confused. But I see my confusion only diluted this thread and I guess I was too focused on trying to explain to you what I mean instead of just telling you I do not know how to do it..

D'oh! My bad. I thought you were TattieBoJangle for some reason. I have no idea why I got that confused. Well, I hope we can figure this out. It would help me do a lot of stuff.

@TattieBoJangle : Two ways to change the speed in V1.007. You can use the 'animspeed' field in the FPE file, 100 being default, 200 being twice the speed. You can also use the new LUA command SetAnimationSpeed(e,v) where v is the same speed value as descr

You will need to wait till next release.

You will use dierctional Lua commands combined with animation frames played to create the illusion of even simple AI.

I don't know Lua myself and thoroughly expect a massive fail first time I try.

If your up for it I could send you an animated character with animation frames list for you to help me out with once 1.007 is out

What's in it for you? you get to keep the characters and bask in the joy of making me look like I can't get it together without your assistance

I have a good handle on what's required and what I see of Lua commands and actions going into V1.007, you should be able to do it, we'll jump in when it's released if you want to.
