I consider it to be a useful function adding a @ function with a notification when a member has been mentioned or to draw a member attention to a post or whatever.



So for example if I wanted to draw lee's attention to a thread or a Mod using @leebamber or @keithc, no need to send a email or PM.



It could be expanded on further, having a notification page with a quick summary of the notification, so the member, doesn't have to click on every notification.



It would also be nice if the function could also hotlink to the users profile, search users posts and threads not just threads, you often miss out of useful posts made by a member, because the search function only allows for threads created by the member and not posts made outside of threads.

A good suggestion when I have a few spare moments I will start fleshing out a system like this as I know it would help me out also.
