Cross level teleport would be great as it would open so many doors for games.

?

what exactly do you mean m8?, area transitions both ways or?

if so then yep agree we need a 2 way door from old to new to old maps, for that truly open world free roaming games idea im sure many have (me included lol).

Yea my idea is to have an open world but the area isn't big enough for this i feel so my request is that say you span your world over 4 maps i would like the ability to jump between they maps as often as you want but they must save anytime you exit the map so anything you kill or pick up is saved.

A simple map

yeah this is sort of how I want my openish world for a zombie game just I was thinking a 3 by 3 grid. aurora engine had an area transition that was 2 way.

you start with the map you want to leave from, and pick a point on the map you want to appear in after leaving the 1st map, then you just linked the older map co ords for returning. in the same way. it also had a easy to use area transition wizard that showed all possible entry/exit points on the maps used, weather this was a door into a building or to an outside area. this is a must have feature tbh with you... lee get it done man please very much lol...

To be honest this is exactly my expectation with Reloaded. I hope to have a few fairly large maps as being outdoors and have very tiny small ones for like inside buildings and such or small separate areas.

I think the aurora engine you could have a whole big map made with just inside rooms and linked from other maps in your story so you could save on total number of maps used, i.e. having 5 inside levels on 1 map linked from different points so all your small inside building levels would be on 1 or 2 maps and then all your outside maps being separate but linked back and forwards.
