Just made this little program that Vishnu TextToSpeech.



It is a womans voice only at the moment but this could be upgraded for future versions if people felt it was worth updating it.





Download it and have a play tell me what you think

That's because some versions of Windows such as Windows XP for example have more then one preset text to speech voice.



This is really handy S4real, good idea!

Nice work! TTS can be very handy vs. hiring voice actors. I use a program called Balabolka (freeware), along with voices from Cepstral and Lernout and Hauspie. Balabolka allows you to save as a .wav, .ogg, and I think maybe some others. If the voice isn't licensed, it will put the audio equivalent of a watermark in the middle of the audio file. I suppose someone with a wav editor could remove those, but I wouldn't recommend it for commercial use. Those voices are far better than the few offerings from MS. There are more out there, Acapela an Ivona in particular (there's another, even better, that I don't remember offhand), that are simply amazing.

If people do feel about upgrading this then I will look into diffrent ideas and what any features you feel would be needed.

There are other free solutions available that have male voices and different accents but they differ in quality.

This is fantastic, for a free program its very fluid and convincing compared to many of the expensive software.



PLEASE make more of these both in female and male voices and other accents!



Also it needs an option to save to .wav files.

I like this a lot. You should add possible to save that voice as mp3, so that we can use it in our games

A way to save the file as a wav or something would be a great addition

We could then add them directly to reloaded ..
