Hello!!



Take some time reading the forum and seeing screenshots, some videos ... I'm really impressed. I know the engine is still in beta... I am aware that much remains to be done, and of course if i have an idea in my head i realize that probably I will have trouble carrying out that idea with the current state of the program. Still, I would like to see that i'm capable of. It's not clear to me that what things i can do. My idea is to make an RPG, ACTION RPG. So FPS, replacing pistols for magic staffs, and swords or bows, with a little story of course haha. I have seen some forum project I liked a lot (Fenriven).



Now I leave questions of things I'm not so sure.



1) Is there storyzones? So someway to trigger text, or an image / video, music / sound for the background. I wonder if I can put NPC or zone and I could get to launch some kind of message, even if it is currently only an image transparent text or sound, or anything haha



2) I have seen good models in FPS shop (70-80 packs) some are fantasy/medieval stuff type. I've seen some weapons, buildings, characters ... These models can be used easily with FPSCR?



3) And external objects? Obj. 3ds. fbx. or otherwise. I think it might be a good time spent with the first maps ... if I had enough resources, buildings, objects, vegetation ...



4) Let me say explosions, atmospheric effects (rain, snow) I guess this is still pending haha ​​I guess I'm dreaming.



5) the current state of the beta i can prepare some kind of puzzles? or similar? For example you need a certain object (key) for you to open a door or a chest. Once you open it, you will add a new item in inventory or the door is opened, things like that.



6) Speaking of doors haha ​​the world is open right? What happens on indoor levels, for example interiors of houses, caves, castles, tunnels?



7) This brings me to the next question, there is only one map? There is no connection between different maps?

1, yes there is a story zone music and the rest mostly but more will maybe come further into the release.

2,the legacy models packs are for the previous product but some do and will work with reloaded, currently there is a prodject to make 400 legacy models from the older product to work with reloaded but not sure when they will be ready.

3,not to sure what your asking here?, but reloaded uses .x and Lua

4, this may follow later on

5,with the current Lua sscripting we can have doors or gates open with keys, also able to do farming and selling plus some others when full Lua scripting is added

6, there is a construction kit being made now for inside buildings and whatnot.

7,1 map right now for testing betas, but later I think it will go to 50 maps I heard but not 100% sure on that yet.



if you do decide to invest as a pledger you will be able to sell games you make if you go gold pledger.

1. Yes, although at the moment they are bugged. I think they have been fixed for the next release though, according to Lee's blogs. You can do some scripting stuff also to get round this, only in a basic fashion as yet though. I did a scripting video of a farming sim I played about with not long ago. just look for Ye olde farming.

2. The buildings work ok, and some of the weapons, although I haven't had much luck with them so far myself (the weapons). I have seen a video with a sword and crossbow working so they do work just not for me. Probably because I still have several versions on my machine, and I forgot to copy some files over. Again, I used the medieval pack to do a video called Medieval World awhile back now.

3. External objects? You mean your own custom objects? You can use .x, no other options yet, or in honestly probably ever. Easy to get Blender to export .x objects though.

4. Yes still awaiting work in these areas. Unfortunately.

5. Sort of. You can't spawn actual objects yet, but you can lock and unlock doors chests etc easy enough. you could also place an object inside a safe or chest that can only be picked up when it's open. So yes, but it requires scripting. Inventory is possible, but as any options to display it are limited at the moment, not really useful.

6. Not sure what you mean. At the moment indoor areas are not properly supported. Lighting and such is not working. Check out the Construction kit videos for info on what is being added in future.

7. Just one level at the moment. Once the engine is fast and mostly bug free, more levels options will be added.



Also remember that Gold pledgers will get some free model packs soon, and as all of them are from model packs available, if you do plan to go gold, you might want to wait before purchasing packs. Or you will possibly end up buying the same things.



Anyway hope that helps. The current beta is not the best, but the new one does sound promising. Of course the current one did as well, so we will have to see

I recommend only buying the new official Reloaded packs as they will be tailored and tested to run perfectly on the latest Reloaded beta. The older legacy packs are for the FPS Creator Classic version which precedes this product. We have selected a number of these older packs and converted a collection of 400 of them for the new Reloaded, available shortly to Gold pledgers.
