When Reloaded comes out and I create a game, will I be able to try to sell it on Steam?

Meaning, it gets past Green Light and approved - will I be able to implement any code they (Steam) might need into my game in order to sell it on their site?

Thanks

Yup, I posted my WIP game on steam greenlight when I was working with FPSC. It shouldn't be any different.

Yes, providing you are a Gold level pledger you may sell your games however you wish.

almightyhood: I think once your game is ready to sell, you have implement some Steam coding into it. I just wanted to make sure that could happen.

Also, I am waiting until Reloaded is fully ready (out of beta) to buy. I will be buying the package that allows you to sell games, not sure if it will be called a Gold Pledge still by then though...

I imagine it is license based, and they would pursue anyone using a non licensed version who sells their games. Although, anyone who has a game they think would be good enough for Steam probably wouldn't mind paying for the full version anyway. They'd be pretty silly not to

On the subject of Steam, having achievements and such you could add into the game would be nice and I imagine, almost required these days. So yeah, later down the line these sort of needs could well do with some attention by TGC. I'm sure as they are adding Reloaded into Steam they will have some experience in that area!

You would think there would be a better way to stop this as think of all the ones they don't find or how can they even tell.

I only bring this up as i remember on here a while back someone linking a torrent to Fps Creator 10 i believe they need to work on security a bit more to stop this from happening.

I totally agree gold is worth the money and if Reloaded works out the way that its planed we will see that money back and some

Content security has come up on internal discussions already and TGC will be improving it throughout in later versions of the software as well as the protection for in-game assets.

A little update on Steam Greenlight:

"Valve boss Gabe Newell has previously said Greenlight would be taken down in future and replaced by a user-curated platform."
