No idea really. Can't see it being the building editor, but you never know. Perhaps a new feature? We will have to wait and see, or guess in the meantime

My guess is something new.



If it were the building editor, doesn't seem like Lee would say he couldn't reveal it here, since we know about that already. But who knows?

Exactly the reason I said it probably wasn't I agree it will be something new, but will it be totally new, or something already on the list? Chances are it will be something mentioned in the past, but has not yet made it into the engine. Explosions maybe? I know that was in at one point, but was removed for more work. Bound to be something that makes Reloaded look more impressive for GDC. Ragdoll physics would be good as well!

And iam really hoping that what we are looking at is a Kinect Camera and that they have secretly been working on the character creator or animator or maybe even some software to capture voice and head movement for video sequences.

these guys have had some great success with Kinect work and have been writing a lot of there own code so the potential is there.. http://www.brekel.com/

Possibly, it did all go VERY quiet about the Character editor. In fact, it has been so quiet I thought it may well have been abandoned, or put on hold. It certainly could be something like that, then again it could simply be a night vision effect :0. Of course it would be very nice to have some different characters, particularly ones you can customise. Some decent AI would be useful too

I have revealed the secret sauce on my latest blog (Monday 24th), and I am sorry if the tease was too much. I just could not reveal the nature of it prior to GDC, but it's fine to talk about now. I must also mention that I DID NOT write this one, and was done by a non-Lee agent working on the project. I am still on performance and nothing else!
