When one enters a model like one of the Sandstone buildings, the building has a floor (tile) over the top of the terrain. Is there some trick or setting that let's the player walk on this floor plane and not be rejected by the collision setting?

What about walking up stairways to higher levels? I know FPSC had this, is this something for a later version of Reloaded or is there a way to do it now?

Thanks

Thanks TattieBoJangle

I just spent some time playing around with the stairway and floor panels and see that it works. Does a Floor or Stair object simply work due to the structure of the engine, or are they setting(s) to ID an item to be walked upon?

Collision is generated in the engine based on the object. It is likely that custom collision modes will be added at a later date.

Reloaded currently has (a) box collision (b) polygon collision and (c) no collision. The building and stairs use polygon collision so you can walk up the details the polygon creates for you. This is not very efficient and we are looking at a per-box composite system to speed this up and will be part of the Importer. Try creating a building then using F9 mode to fly on top of the building, then returning to the game, you will notice you can land on the roof and run about. Polygon collision is cool, but we have plans to make it just as cool but FASTER.
