EDIT: Nov. 3 2015: Removing the links to the separate installers, to clean up my server space.

EDIT: April 19th, 2015 - the installer had a few errors in it. Use the uninstaller to uninstall my stuff, then download the new installer and it will place all the folders under the piratemyke folder, instead of the root one. I had missed the street light and it is now in my bridges folder, Sorry about that. Also one the building the diffuse textures where not compressed, having a very large file size. These have been properly compressed now and are normal size.

Please note if you have used these in a map, and you change the location, you will have to reset these object again. So please think about this before you change these files Again very sorry for that.

Train yard split into 4 sections now, for ease of placement and faster light mapping
No more textures shared between folders, causing black entities in the editor.
1 animated rail road crossing signal, you will need to script it, based on your needs.
1 destructible concrete rail road bridge. you will need to script it, based on your needs.
Autoflatten removed from all files

All assets can be used for personal or commercial use:
If you made customizations to any of the media, then make a backup copy of those items and replace after install.

Well I am making stuff for my portfolio and I have these models that I have made FPSC reloaded ready.



I get from the forums, so I give to the forums. Enjoy these and there will be more packs to come.

Straight road reduced in poly from 270 polys to 22 polys. Changed the texture to the one for the bridges. Sorry about that, better tile out. Unfortunately you will have to delete your straight sections or browse for the new texture in existing maps. again really sorry about that.

Everyone is welcome.



@ KajoCat: nice picture.



I will be starting bridge segments and on ramps for branching off the highway. They are made pretty quick. about 6 hours apiece once you get the design in your head.



The road texture is from CG texture and it is not tiled very precise. I will be working on a texture for the road to make the seems a little better.



Tip for layout is start with a new flat map and then build the terrain around your road.

Nice work Myke, KajoCat's screenshot really show's your work well.



Another tip for using these, pressing 'u' will level off uneven terrain beneath the entity, pressing 'b' will enable you to snap these together so you can lay them quickly and easily



Here's the really nice thing about pressing 'u', when you raise or lower an entity in the editor, as long as you continue to have this entity selected all other instances are placed at this height, which will cut through hills and raise/lower terrain beneath without having to use a brush



So the first road entity you place, raise or lower a little to set this, same for snap, turn it on before starting to place. Your then free to use random terrain for your build and saves time and work too.

Still not happy with the textures. I want to finish these two because they are pieces to start from and build around. Ok, more later.

It needs to be de compressed into the FPS Creator Reloaded\entitybank folder.

When decompressed you should have a folder under there called PirateMyke.

In there will be the entities for the game.



Open reloaded and start with a new flat terrain. The bridge sections are the main objects and should be set first. Play around with these on a test map till you get a plan on how you want them arranged.



Exit and access roads and surface streets will be the next volume of the pack and should be complete around Sunday or Monday. I am dealing with the player being around 8 or 9 feet tall in the engine and will be testing building around with these new roads to come, for size comparison.

This is what I have planned for vol. 2 of the packs.



Exit and on ramp for highway sections.

Access road section for them.

Access road to surface street interchange.

Surface streets with sidewalks, straight, curved, and tee sections.



Testing these and mapping the textures.











Looking at Sunday or Monday for having these ready.

How are you finding the width? Looks good with the size of your autos.



Are you finding that the player camera is very tall? I set my FOV to around 80 to give the right perspective. But I feel the eye height is around 7 feet tall or better.

This is looking better and better everyday.



One minor critisim if you don't mind. The on/off ramp/slip road linking the main road to the single road look a little sharp to my mind. There tends to be more of a 'runup' to allow traffic to merge with major roads, rather than a T-Junction.



Please feel free to ignore me, as I can't model anything more than a box .

Yes, I know what you mean, they are between 300 to 400 feet here in the US each direction, But that is a lot of room on the map. That spot is bugging me and something must be done with it for sure.



Right now both on and off ramp section is 480 feet long, Doubling that might be a bit over the top as that is close to half the length of the map area.



I am guessing if you run the highway along the outside of the map and work into the town roads it might be fine at that length.



In the following image the distance of the highway for the on and off ramp covers about 1200 feet total and these are medium length ones around here.







Comments welcomed. Also report to me any issues you are having setting these pieces, so as they can be addressed and fixed if needed.

So increased the length of the ramps and changed there angle. I think it will be ok.

Here is what I am working on for Vol 3.



Sooner or later you know you will want to cross the tracks.







Straight track, Curve Track, Switch outs, Road Crossing, X crossing, Looking to have the parts made for a rail way Yard, Signals, Maybe some utility buildings. Lights for Railroad yard.

Have some mapping and adjusting of the rails so things are as seamless as possible. Check back for progress.

Some more progress. Reloaded test of mapping and collision and size. So far so good. Have a few corrections to do then should be ready to post the stuff.
