Scripts / possbile to create characters bleeding?

When enemies get shot, is it possible to create a bleeding effect? First bloodsplat like there already is, and then bleeding for a while.

It is possible to do this but im no expert on lua. i guess you could make the script create a animated sprite

Actually, this isn't currently possible, but was once added to feature requests, so it's possible this might well make its way in as a feature.
