Hello

I have had problems with using Beta 5 and after posting with Scene Commander, I discovered that it was my Antivirus that was the problem, it was causing flickering and quite a few errors making it quite unusable.

My Antivirus was Bitdefender and I have tried F Secure and Kasperskey, I settled on Kasperskey as this one seems to work fine with FPSCR.

It might be interesting to know what some of you are running and if you are having similar problems.

I've got something to say

Honestly, Microsoft's free Security Essentials coupled with Malwarebytes Antimalware (and Comodo Personal Firewall) are the best I've had in years and all I use. Previously I've used Comodo Antivirus, AVG, Avira but found Security Essentials catches even more and isn't intrusive.

TrendMicro Titanium Internet Security

No issues.

After installing beta 1 :

I had to add FPSCreator.exe and FPSC-MapEditor.exe to the exceptions list. No other issues since then.

avast free version for years, silent mode and boot time scans are great if ever i do something dumb or i need to clear someone else's harddrive.

AVG is good too but i had a couple misses with that when i used it

don't recommend Norton, the free version is almost worse than useless and even the paid for version isn't any better than the free versions of others (had loads of conflict issues with drivers when i used it too although it may be better by now)

I always considered Norton a virus

My opinion is always use free...If a brand new virus comes out tonight it really does not matter what you have if your unlucky enough to get it...

Avast, AVG are perfectly ok....BTW...Only ever use one antivirus two or three just conflict with each other and slow your PC down

I have used what used to be called NOD32 for years, simply due to its very non-intrusive and super fast background activity
