Im looking into buying a new pc for Reloaded, since as of now my home pc and laptop's graphics aren't very good.

I really don't know much about "Gaming Pc's" or anything so I wanted to post a thread and see what the community has used or is using for creating games. I've done alot of work with other creators like Rpg Maker but literally any pc/laptop can perform well with that software lol.

I'm not really looking for a hardcore, ultra setting, go "ham" type of pc, but

anything at a basic, beginner's level, that will perform well with this software will do.

Price range? I'm thinking anything around 600$ ish? Maybe $700?

Any suggestions?

For around that money you can custom build a pretty decent machine it just depends if you think you are up to that or if you want to buy one.

Thats what i was thinking also. Maybe just getting new parts and upgrade my desktop. My desktop is a couple years old but still runs good. I'll have to look around on some sites and look at my options.

I would suggest no processor less than an i7 or i5 or if your AMD inclined no less than a A8 or A10 otherwise your updating to something that is still quite old.

This will most likely mean you need a new motherboard a 2011 socket for intel or a FM2 socket for AMD.

As for memory 8GB will be fine and usually with those processors you will want DDR3 1200Mhz or 1600Mhz for the best speeds, this stuff is dirt cheap now.

Graphics wise you can get a nice nVidia 600 (I had a 660Ti for a while and it was a great card and not too pricey) or 700 series or the AMD R9 series are also good.

You could just about get all this inside your budget and you will be able to run almost anything with decent specs.

Awesome! Thanks Next!

Another quick question...

Is there a link anywhere that shows minimal requirements for the software? I been looking everywhere, maybe I missed it...

There's no official specs yet as the software is still in beta. Once everything is finalised some will be published, but it won't be soon.

As a guide check out this http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php

Any GPU listed here with a score of 2000+ in the 1st numeric coloumn will run Reloaded well, but bear in mind, these cards can be quite expensive and that as Reloaded performance improves, the card requirements will drop to lower spec ones.

Don't feel too outdated with that setup. I currently use an Acer Aspire One 722 and it runs Reloaded fairly. only a 1.3 Ghz dual core with 4GB max ram and ATI onboard graphics. (a hint for when they post minimum specs .. lol)

William, I just noticed your processor family, Sempron. Not one made for gaming by AMD. The Athlon, Turion and Phenom are better for gaming unless you go with totally new. Buy a new top of the line motherboard/CPU setup and build from there as that is the main control of your system. If you have an old one no matter what graphics, HD or RAM you use it will be limited by the CPU. Plus if you go this route you know you have assurance your PC can and will upgrade easily for a while from there. Newegg, Tiger and pricewatch are good places to get parts from to build cheaply.
