Where the message button hyperlink appears to users at the top bar menu location (or elsewhere) :
Would in be possible to display an active visual indication there when new messages arrive in a users inbox? e.g a number next to the word messages and perhaps highlighted or flashing to bring attention to the message waiting to be read?
