Feature Creep / Export terrain mesh and additional options for terrain creation

While I enjoy the new terrain system, there are a few things that I would love to see in this engine and most of them deal with terrain generation.



1. Export heightmap or mesh (.x and/or .obj). This is to allow us to have more control when creating our terrains.



2. Placement overlay maps. It would be nice to have multiple overlay maps that would allow us to do the following:



a. Foliage placement (single and batch) but painting a specified color over the heightmap.



b. Allow us to better judge the placement of buildings, obstacles and it will also give us an eagles eye view of our level making it easier to maintain consistency and flow of our projects.



c. Brush strength options for the shaping feature. Once again allowing for better control.



d. Scalable texture options.



e. Angle based character movement restrictions. Not very realistic if your character is running up a sheer cliff wall.



This all I can think of at the moment...
