I need a ship model for my game and I found a untextured free 3D model on the internet. I imported the .obj file into Wings 3D and exportet it as an .x file. First had to remove the sails because I am the biggest n00b when it comes to texturing so I couldn't figure out how to texture the sails differently than the wooden ship.

Now my two questions.

1) As texture I used the one from a wooden box that came with FPSCR. Is that ok or is there any legal issue with that?

2) I need the model in a bigger size than it is. Changing the scale in the fpe file (to 300 so it should be 3 times bigger) didn't help. It only changes the size when placing it on the map but in-game it still shows in 100 scale. Am I doing anything wrong or is that something FPSCR is not yet doing correctly? It worked nicely in FPSC.

Thanks for the help any of you pro modellers can provide!

Nevermind question 2). Found the option in Blender to scale a model before converting it to a DirectX file in Wings 3D.

So as long as it is ok to re-use a texture that came with FPSCR for another model, I should be set.

That's odd. Because when I scaled my model up in Blender, it remained the same size, but changing the scale in FPE to 1000 worked.
