On the original TGC forum, threads that I've viewed when signed in will be highlighted and show 'newest post' link when new posts are available. Clicking that link will jump me to the first new post and all of them are highlighted to easily distinguish from previously read comments. On this version the link always takes me to the top of the thread and none of the posts are highlighted.
