Product Chat / is Polygon collision able?

Hey, anyone know if there is a way to make the collision of objects to Polygon?



i mean when i place a tree and run in front to it, it stop me ~10 feets before i arrive the tree.. i made a picture to show you what i mean.



i think the engine mean that the invisible leafe plane is also a collision



sry for the engish i hope you understand what i mean,



it would be pretty if there is a way to set the collision box only to the

tree trunk and not the branch or leafes.

All you need to so is add this line



Collisionmode =1





THen it will work with polygons

an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

thanks for the answer but with Collisionmode = 1 i canĀ“t walk throw leafes and branch of the tree but i can walk throw the trunk of the tree :/



i wish it would be the collision turn reverse..

I don't know if the Collosionmode setting are the same as FPSC, if they are you could try a different mode. Don't forget this is a Beta so it may not work as it should yet.



0 - Box collision

1 - Polygon collision

2 - Reduced collision

3 - Cylinder collision

4 - Sphere collision

which version are you using make sure it is beta 1.002



with this beta yes cant walk through leaves unless that is a seperate entity and given a different collision mode.

collision got corrected for beta 2. beta 1 was shocking for it.

an unquenchable thirst for knowledge of game creation!!!

Trees I made work fine as the leaf canopy is higher than the player, they seem small in Reloaded. You can only script no collision so that's not possible right now.

Just an aside but box =2, we have been over that one before, the settings in entity maker were wrong and that's where most folks got the info for collision in the past, the source says otherwise.

In BETA 1.004, setting COLLISIONMODE to 11 will instruct the engine to use no collision or create an AI obstacle for the entity.
