3rd Party Models/Media Chat / How does Entity LOD work in Reloaded ?

I am building some new models for use in Reloaded and need to know how the LOD on the models work. Do we build them with discrete models or does it use progressive mesh. I have used and built with discrete models before but have no clue how progressive meshes are made in the first place, let alone how to use them. So..... I would really like to know how Reloaded is going to handle the LOD. If the comunity members are going to need new knowledge and/or software to make proper models for Reloaded, would it not make sense to let us know now, before we all build a bunch of useless stuff. Also if we are going to need $4K software just to build models for an $80 program you can count me OUT!
