Just occurred to me (as I was reading the latest newsletter); when setting way-points for characters (or cars, etc.). Would there be a way for you to right-click on each yellow star icon in a way-point; and have it bring up the standard script window, allowing you to tweak things such as:
- Character idle time at specified point (character could pause there for a bit, rather than simply moving on as usual).
- Perform a specified animation or sequence.
- Check for conditions (if an item is missing, or a dead body is present, it could trigger a high alert stance...for example).
- Trigger event (if you have a situation where an enemy gets to the final way-point before being killed by the player; the whole base would go on red alert...for example).
Having a simple, yet robust, system such as this would really add a lot of value and gameplay to any game the user creates.
Any thoughts?

I'm all for this addition. Anything which allows for more creativity is something I would love to see.
Only in the imagination, can the truth be found...

Since the topic is "Waypoint Editor" I would add that right clicking along the "line" between waypoints would add a waypoint to that spot on the path so you could then add a trigger action at that spot due to your original suggestion.

That's a good idea as well. As much flexibility as possible.

Let's hope they're considering it S4. It would be a very handy tool to have.
