I recently sat down with TheGameCreators CEO, Lee Bamber, to discuss GameGuru MAX ahead of its Early Access release this Friday. In this in-depth interview, we chat about MAX's headline features, his learnings from GameGuru Classic, and the future roadmap for both.

This interview was filmed as part of a much larger documentary I'm making on TheGameCreators. The documentary will plot their history, revisit their products, and unearth their - at times - tumultuous relationship with us, their loyal community.

"TheGameCreators Vs. The Fans" is currently in production (and I have no idea when it'll be done!).

Yeah, I saw it and it was very interesting.

I'd like to sketch an answer to the last question.
GG is supposed to be easy and "for everyone". This attracts a lot of people who are tempted to make a game even with no ideas and no effort, resulting in a lot of pseudo-games that are too much similar one another. Easy often means limited.
Of course this is not a reason to stop.

But what we still lack is flexibility.
For example, variables, built-in scripting, improved importing, etc.

I'm definitely a fan of TGC. I own FPSC, FPSC X10, I pledged Reloaded that became GG, and preordered Max. I believe in it.
When we will have ease of use and flexibility, this will be the ultimate tool.
Ease of use is already there, and more coming. Flexibility is what's still missing.
After all, we are calling it GURU, and a guru is supposed to be great and able to teach others how to do.
