Thanks for any help...

I see it's potential! I grew up surfing in California and Hawaii and I can only say to be able to replicate the different type's of ocean's I have witnessed in my life would be a unique characteristic for GG! I would like to see the Dev team take note and watch some true HD surf movies Like "Endless Summer II" and "Step into Liquid" just to get some true vision of what the beautiful ocean can look like!

here's a little Go-Pro for yah....

Wow, that's cool Synchromesh.

ShN33Ky, are you able to surf the pipe? I don't know if that's how they say it nowadays. (I am from the sixties and seventies ).

Oh man, those water sliders are ballin'. Any info on how they're going to interact with the ambient lighting of the map?
Intel i7 3700, Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 (2GB), 16 GB DDR3 RAM
...and some mediocre MSI motherboard holding it all together. It's a bit of a franken-build but it's good enough for me.

Sliders are nice - don't forget Preben did the water shader that the sliders use

If you want to change/experiment now:

Open up water_basic.fx and change these value to suit:

Try the colors Preben has preset as a start to see how it works - float3 WaterCol = { 158.0/256.0 ,168.0/256.0 , 198.0/256.0 }; - the numbers before the / 256.0 are the respective values of RGB

Delete water_basic.blob (not .fx) and restart GG to see the changes.

Cheers.

I never dared. I started body surfing, as well, on small gentle waves off the coast of Santa Barbara. Actually that was quite enjoyable. Did you all know that Bill Gates was a surfer back in those days as well.

So, speaking of huge, I'm sure we all give a huge thank-you two thumbs up to Preben and Corno_1.
