Hey there, forum dwellers!

Allow me to introduce to you a new regular installment: The monthly free reloaded media. Here I will give away free stuff in varying quality every month. Commercial use within the reloaded engine is allowed, for everything else you'd need to contact me.

Synchromesh can, if he wishes, upload these to his website!

These models are a little older but I've only come around to make them engine-ready now. They have been improvised from scratch and had the purpose to teach me better polygonal optimisation. The polycount of the primary model from this collection has been decreased from 3780 to 2570 Polygons. The goal was to find the fastest way to decrease polygons without changing a models appearance. Speed is the most important factor in my workflow...I like to get them results fast!

Originally these where intended for sale... but I figured that it might be a nice gift!

The models are desert themed fantasy buildings. No element of them is akin to any realworld culture. These models can be used in a semi-modular fashion to piece together larger building complex.

Primary Model

2570 Triangles

Diffuse: 2048²

Compressed DirectX Model

Variations

In-Engine

Polycount:

Primary: 2570

Variation1: 2210

Variation2: 1738

Variation3: 1378

Variation4: 870

Eugh! It's horrible! I wouldn't take that even if you were giving it away!

Oh, it's free..............GIMMIE!

But, in all seriousness, nice looking model mate and so generous! I might follow suit and join in with the monthly give away! Should I start my own thread? Or should I just hijack yours (like I always do)

Jay.

Quote: "I'd start my own thread desert themed fantasy doesn't attract that many views."

The theme might not, but, 'free' will always gain views! I will start my own theme, something like, 'Help, I'm tiny and everything is massive'. So, in that theme, there will be models of giant pencils and enormous books, resting on humongous tables. Then, the player will feel like they are running around on someone's desk! Perfect theme! I am sure those models will suit everyone's needs....

Quote: "I also finally got around at making a new version of your gun! It should be in my 3D bazaar sooner or later."

Seen it, loved it, commented already! Great work on the additions!

Quote: "Don't encourag him, dang it, he'll end up being a much better modeler than I am. "

That is my ultimate goal! I will be the best modeller EVER! There can be only one!

I joke of course. I just want to grow at a good steady pace and improve my own style. You have your very own style and it works perfectly for you.

Cheers

Jay.
