Hi everyone
I tried to unlink & uninstall my Microsoft OneDrive PC sync. Some of my GG Max files ended up syncing there partially by accident.

But I have now lost all my GG Max Projects, including the ones on my PC, everything. It looks like my GG Max install from Steam is still functional & untouched though.

1. Is it possible retrieve my Game Projects from Steam?

2. In future, is there an effective way to safely backup your Game Projects in Steam or elsewhere?

Kind regards

Hi
This was exactly the issue i brought up at the beginning about files being placed in Documents, TGC does give you an option to choose a writable folder, i would recommend you log in to your one drive through your web browser your files should still be there, even if in the bin they are there for another 30 days, i would not recommend having your GG writable folder in any onedrive folder it can cause issues and synching problems.

Hi Graphix
Thank you so much for your reply.

I have checked my onedrive in the browser, it would appear my game level files are still there like you said. I will try later to copy my level files back on my SSD from onedrive.com, and see if it works. In the meantime I have unlinked my PC from onedrive, and uninstalled the PC version. Hopefully it will stop the auto sync.

What would you reccomend for making backups? External hard drive?

Regards

Hello yes a removable drive would be fine or if possible a cheap NAS box is ideal for backing up your whole computer.

I am working on an application that will allow backups of your MAX files and projects

Easiest way i find is simply name your " GameGuruApps " to " GameGuruApps 2 "
Max will create a new one on launch so no harm done
Meanwhile just copy your GameGuruApps 2 to and external drive and you have the whole thing safe and secure..
Then just rename it back after deleting the new one or copy the files into the new one
