Hello

I never really put to much import ants on the sound and music in video games, but I started looking into it and realized I have neglected this part of game making and its actually quite important. So I was wondering what programs are the community using for Game Guru and Max. What are the best and what are the more affordable options, and what works best for Game Guru and Max are there any free options that are viable. Are there any programs that offer cinematic music and sound effects in one package or do I need to look more at a studio option. I'm curious as to what everybody else is into, any help would be apricated.

if you need any software synths for sound effects or music try

https://store.cherryaudio.com/instruments

For music creation try this for free, I think you just sign up.

https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk

and this it what I use

https://www.presonus.com/products/Studio-One/compare-versions

Bear in mind that to use the cakewalk software and studio one you will need a proper audio interface.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/PreSonus-Studio-24c-USB-C-Interface/dp/B07L9MWWDK/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=presonus+usb+audio&qid=1621272201&sr=8-3-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzVDRDMERGTDdLR1REJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjI2MTE4Mkw3QjZXOEYwMDY0ViZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMDMyNTU0UklJVDQ2NVNPTUtHJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

The amazon link with presonus audio interface also include presonus artist as well so you don't have to pay extra to get the software, that's what I did.

If you need a hardware synth then go for this one, I use it all the time. Expensive but powerful.

Hope that will be of some help to you.

@Synchromesh - Thanks for that, really appreciated. Yes I am open for work if anyone needs that custom music to create the extra audio atmosphere they need.

I am working on some new music, with all the lovely old style analogue soft synths and some of it is sounding really really powerful. Thank god for modern technology.
