I think this must be one of the biggest requests by the whole community- Pre MAX era.
Haven't seen any dynamic lighting yet in MAX?
I don't really need to mention that non- light- mapped GG Classic makes global lighting across the scene that hits every surface, passing through objects, while not casting any real shadows. Same with any light emplaced in the level. So how's the lighting in MAX coming along? MOVING, dynamic lights inserted into the scene, spot lights that cast DYNAMIC real time SHADOWS properly and all that good stuff. Lighting, including the flashlight that looks and behaves realistically. Interior lighting that can be scripted to change separate from exterior (sun) lighting.

Maybe a very little was shown at the beginning of 'cellar demos' a year ago? except for dynamic lights - not moving and showing shadows as far as I know. No new lua controls specified as far as I've heard. Any bits of video available on it?

If you have MAX why not just experiment and see what you get?

All lights in Max are Dynamic not static. Every screenshot, Video you have seen are dynamic lights.
Moving lights do cast shadows if that's what your asking.
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

-- not yet. The teases released are of minimal current interest if actual projects cannot be started and distractions when just small up-dates are ongoing weekly. (Sorry if any people look at me like a soulless creep), I do expect to get it when it looks more finished- I hope in short order.

B> I just wondered what is expected to be the final formula regarding lights (and several other considerations)- which would of course help out in planning user project(s).
It seems like there's not too much discussion about some of these items, and of course as a WIP, that's ~~ well, sorta ~~ understandable.
(Is it going to be able to get specific jobs done?) IDK? There's a dozen things checked off that say YES, and perhaps a few that are still unanswered.

YES! - Big grin.

I know it's just a little early, but that's exciting and I'd like to see the MAX TGC page or even Steam page revamped- with simple little videos like this because that's something worth showing off.

...Where have I been - under a rock? Yeah, I guess kinda.

Considering Max is not going to have baked lighting, then it stands to reason all lights would have to be dynamic.
Primary Desktop:
