Hey guys...

I'm needing a "whip" weapon for my enemies. at the bare minimum i just need the handle to stay at the origin point and include some basic animations.
I can figure out how to attach it in the firespot.

if anyone can help, let me know

You don’t need to attach the weapon to the fire spot just the hand bone

i would try to rig the model to the stock flail weapon animations

Thats a great idea osiem80. I have actually tried that for a few days before resorting to ask for help though. It didnt turnout that well unfortunately. Scaling it to be longer seemed to give issues.


Granada- I had no idea about this! I thought the only way to attach an item/weapon had to be to the firespot
How do you set that up exactly? What are the names of the bones that must match up?

This might help u, its a tutorial about weapon rigging in fragmotion, btw which software do u use?
U can use fragmotion for free its easier to rigg with it as in blender

osiem80. You are a freaking hero. This is exactly what I needed. I dont really know Fragmotion, other than use it to import/export for Gameguru.

I can animate and rig in blender, but getting it from blender to GameGuru never seemed to work as the animation was always missing.

Have you had any success with animations from Blender to GG?

Edit, ah after clicking and looking at that tutorial... I realized this is the method I have attempted using the flail. The problem is that bones cant be moved without warping the animation :/

If you have a method to get animations from Blender to Gameguru, that may be my best option unless there are other options that I dont know about
