This Project has been in the making since September. In the meantime, I started again from scratch several times.

FINALLY I have reached a level I can live with. Any Videos before November dont apply to this Project anymore.

Sorry for the inconvenience. It was a struggle to get here, actually.

BUT, now I can build upon it and see what the result is going to be.

You know you watched too many of Lee's Live Brodcasts when you're at work and have an earwig from his twitch intro music....

I tried baked lighting but it disables animated objects like the fan.... So I have to stick to realtime shadowing...

AND: How can I make the doors go up faster? Animation speed doesn't work....

Hmn, baking lightmaps shouldn't stop your fan animating as long as the fan is set to dynamic baking shouldn't even touch it, it's designed to ignore anything dynamic.

Looks pretty good so far, i'd make the corridors a little wider, but it's not bad at all. If you need any help with some modelling give me a shout and i'll see what i can do.

Really nice job using all metal stuff to hide dynamic lightings lack of shadows! I must say i have not seen such a nice looking scene using all dynamic lighting. At the moment though, the scenery looks kind of boxy and it reminds me of an FPSC game when static segment shaders first became a thing. That and the 1990's fan on the ceiling kinda seemed out of place.

I added TONS of detail to make the scenery look more realistic. Added baked lighting. Added new rooms and audio. Also changed all textures and made them darker.
This took quite some time^^ But I think the result is better than bevore !

Watched the first video when you posted it and thought ye its ok ...

However just took a look at the latest and immediately got my attention ...
That's some impressive lighting considering GG's limitations and the detail makes the world of difference.
I just love those interiors now and it actually looks pretty playable as it is.
One I shall keep looking in on

Thought i was looking at a level from Wolf for a moment,nice looking but looking a bit like a copy.I liked your first one better,more your own i thought .Cool work though ,this is just me thinking out loud .

Granada, I see your point.. at the same time I dont.. Is it because of the assets? Or the weapons I use? Ive seen many other projects with BSP' s sci fi weapons as well. Actually THAT was the reason why I changed to EAI's weaponry.

Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for ANY tip to improve it! I just don't exactly see why..

I think it's because of the "building" assets that you've chosen. Perhaps just retexture the walls/floor/ceiling of those assets. In the original videos you had a lot of greys and metals. Try going for that kind of look but with the current level you've designed.

Yep agreed and that's a problem for me

I actually preferred the original as the construction was custom unique and not like one I had seen before.
Also the lighting was impressive despite your issues ...
But the new one does look great and I guess you could have the original on a different level.

I retextured almost everything. I really dont wanna create a copy of someone else's game.. I am trying my best to make those assets look different.

Please note that I changed my mind in terms of the game setting. I don't wanna create a sci-fi shooter anymore. It's going to be a modern shooter
with a sci-fi-ish touch too it. This is only one level, the beginning of the game will be different.

I'm happy that you've redone this. the last thing you did looked too much like Redacted level 1 what with the lighting colour choices, hallway objects, airducts, EAI weaponry, and near obscene level of detail. This could use some more lighting, perhaps a bit more detail too; the city as it is organized doesn't make the greatest of sense, but it's its own thing now, which I am glad to see.

Yours looks really smooth when walking and carrying but the ones I purchased on the store seem a little juddery ...
The only person ever to get all his work done by "Friday" was Robinson Crusoe..

Duchen ... I like the way the project goes ... Sometimes I feel like I'm in Dead Space ... and I liked it a lot ... the only thing I would like to see are elements of history ... some puzzle, the musicaincidental would help a lot too !!! But if you look for the moment only the visual ... I can say that you have achieved ... to me, it convinces me a lot.

Duchen... me gusta como marcha el proyecto... En ocasiones siento que me hallo en Dead Space... y eso me gustó mucho... lo unico que me gustaría ver son elementos de historia... algun puzzle, la musicaincidental ayudaría mucho tambien!!! Pero si buscas por el momento solo lo visual... puedo decir que los has logrado... a mi, me convence mucho
