Haha yes!

Its one of my favourite shooters...despite most of the colour scheme being baby-blue

They have done a great job on the mechanics, I've rarely seen superior ones, even in modern shooters.
The art direction is extremely well done...they carefully chose environments that allowed them to have their engine shine and hide the technical short comings. Sound design is aces too.
Its very intense too if you play it on a high difficulty.

I guess you could say that I'm somewhat influenced by the game when it comes to my own design.

Oh! And despite what many people critisize, I do enjoy how its mostly confined to one area, it allows the game to really set the mood.
The whole complex felt like a breathing real place to me.

Played F.E.A.R. and the sequel a while ago, they haven't aged badly at all. Not very scary, though, but maybe it was when it first came out (scary little ghost girls have been overdone since F.E.A.R. came out).

There's 6 titles in the F.E.A.R series now, 3 games, and 3 DLC's.

The F.E.A.R series is one of my all time favourite game series, and pretty much the only game series i have played all the available games and DLC's multiple times.

It's just great for one of those sessions where you just want to chill out by rampaging with a gun and getting the doodoo scared out of you by classic jump scares, and head stacking creepiness.

Which is really odd, because personally i hate FPS style games, i find them frustrating, and all pretty much the same game with different "skins", but there's something about F.E.A.R that i get drawn into.

I haven't actually played 1 and 2 but currently going through 3. Its a pretty good example of how to optimize a level. The levels are very small which allows them to get away with a lot of detail for each without sacrificing FPS. I find it to be quite inspirational actually when thinking about GG maps and events.

Just finished the first F.E.A.R game,I must say the game play is fantastic.we all go on about great textures all the time but I must admit if the game play is good enough you don't even notice the textures until everything is dead.a GG remake of this would be cool and within GG limits I would have thought with the improved ai.
