Any one figured out how to get a model rigged with rigify into Game Guru? If you have a tutorial would be awsome please. Everytime I try to bring one into GG it crashes.

I've been trying but no success. Although I'm not sure the problem is rigify or something else. I manage to get it into fragmotion finally but the bones and mesh are screwed up. What you could maybe try is too go to maximo's site to get your character rigged then bring it into blender. Maybe then it will export if the skeleton is the problem. I've been trying to do that myself but maximo doesn't seem to like my alien character and crashes. It hasn't done that on any other models though. If you do find out the answer though please let me know!

Now that you mention the bone limit I decided to check. Here's what one guy was saying on a site I found
Quote: "When rigging meshes with rigify, even though the human meta-rig has only 63 bones, clicking "Generate" will result in an armature with 333 bones"

If what the guy is saying is true this would explain a lot about why it's causing crashes.I guess no more using rigify.

This videos pretty helpful. I rigged my model like he's doing which is as simple as riggify anyway and tested an export. My model and skeleton carried over into fragmotion perfectly. I haven't redone the animations yet to test them but everything's looking good so far (You can also use the metarig instead of making a skeleton from scratch like he's doing)

Good rigging vid, thanks. I know how to rig though, I just hate setting up IK. Reason I wish rigify worked

I hear you there! Turns out all my problems were caused by the rigify. well, most of them. My character works now except he's about 10 feet off the ground and won't go down. I can't quite figure that one out. There was a program on steam greenlight that did the rigging for you called boner (I didn't name the program mods) That looked quite promising. I'm not sure if they release it yet or not. I was checking in on it for a while but haven't looked lately. Also, if you're willing to pony up $20.00 Blender has an add on that works like maximo to rigg your characters. It's called auto rig pro. It's probably worth looking into if you don't like to rigg manually

Looks cool, but looking at the vid it looks just like rigify. By that I mean it creates multi rigs and ups the bone count, but Il check it out. Thanks

You're probably right on it making too many bones. I guess you would have to investigate it further. Here's the other program I was talking about. It's greenlit but doesn't say when it will be available. This one will also let you import a animations whenever it gets finished

Boner3D looks like a good solution, hope it gets finished soon. If I even need it. Ive been looking really hard at the Unreal Engine lately.
