I have a character using the quest system scripts as the quest giver.lua as his main script in properties. The character I am using is the death valley desert gunner. I have set him to sit in a chair, anim0 = 3828 , using only the sit animation. Which works fine. But when I approach him, he stands up and always faces the wrong way. Is there a way to just make him stay seated?

Is the Quest giver script the Killquest script that came stock?

Also, which script is assigned to the AI? If it is one of the AI scripts, then we will need to change it so the guy just sits there.
possibly writing a small script.

Im using acids quest giver script from the store. I went into the characters fpe, and changed his default ai anim to a few differnt scripts to see if it had any effect on the animation he does when I approach him. He spawns sitting in a chair, but when I approach he stands up turns to his left 80 degrees and walks like 3 steps in place. I have rotated him, and he will still turn away from me the same way. I looked in the quest giver lua, and it does have a line in it that says CharacterControlStand
RotateToPlayer

not sure if this is where hes getting told to make this animation or not. Right now I have the characters ai anim just set to appear lua

I do not have Acid's quest giver script. so going to be hard to help you out on this one.

Need to strip out all the AI code that makes them do thing internally, such as the CharacterControl stuff.

Have you tried to contact Acid to see what he knows about the script and what you are trying to achieve?
