I have a question. lua -scripts affect the fps of GG ? I want to use several functions in my project . Therefore, I prefer to ask very much in advance .

A small bit of course, like everything else - the more you add the lower the fps gets - but compared to adding models the scripts won't reduce fps by much at all, unless it's badly coded maybe.

Yup, as smallg said, they will but only a very slightly, most of the time it's hardly noticeable.

I have noticed some scripts that cause issues though, the characters with the TGC fantasy pack really kill my FPS, just one on a map drops it quite a bit, I thought it was the model, but when I used one with the ai_neutral script there was no framerate hit at all. I think there's something in their AI scripts that's not quite right and it's draining resources.

@belidos is it all of them or a specific one?
edit, i just tested and didnt get any difference in fps with their stock scripts or no script, it was still high (even with all characters at once).
although my winged grey doesnt seem to work for some reason (all the other demons do...)

Hmn, maybe I should delete them and redownload them, maybe they're corrupt, and yeah it was all of them, here's how bad it is, if I put more than 5 on a level my FPS drops from 200+ to less than 30, doesn't do anything near that with any of the other charcacters.

It's the winged demons, if I put 5 of any character on a blank map I will have 385+ FPS, but if I put any 5 of the winged demons on a blank map my FPS drops to around 70FPS, I've tried deleting and re-downloading, but it's stayed the same.

I think what I stated before about changing the scripts made them work better was a fluke, because it's not doing that now. It's definitely the model that's an issue.

The first time I try to load a blank level with 5 winged demons in it there's a few seconds of black screen after all the loading and when it finishes they're not on the level, escape out and run test again and no pause and they're there, but the framerates extremely low.

Also when you edit their properties instead of zooming in on the demon the editing window goes black.

None of this happens with any other character I've tried, there's definitely some issue with the model.

I read in Lee's update that the winged demons are relatively old models with more than the normal for GG number of bones and are therefore processed by the cpu not gpu causing performance problems if too many of these used at same time. Cheers.

If that's the case then as they are part of a paid DLC they should be fixed or removed, if not then I would expect everyone who bought the fantasy DLC to get a partial refund as they work so badly that they're almost unusable (I am joking btw if that doesn't come across).

A partial refund, ok, I'm down with that, lets see, I got GG and all the current DLC on Humble bundle with a load of other stuff for under a tenner, so TGC owe me ... ummm, about 35p for the winged deamon.... quids in! lol

(and of course, I was joking to.... I want more that that!) muhahaha!
